TIP One - Salad Bar veggies

- Instead of buying vegetables that will be thrown away because you only needed a small amount for your recipe, go to the salad bar of the grocery store. Getting 1/4 cup on diced green peppers is a lot cheaper in the long run than buying the smallest pepper you can find and letting the rest of it rot in the fridge. Things like onions, mushrooms, celery, peppers and so forth are easy for the single to use from the salad bar.
